I read the written words while listening along to the narration and felt the echoes of the traumatic event on a visceral level. 💔🫂 When I was around 6 years old, I knew a girl who lost her eye in the blink of a moment after tripping while running with a pencil in her hand. I was someone on the periphery of her life, an observer of her story, and not the event itself, and yet her traumatic experience horrifed me and has stayed with me my entire life. My eyes started to water from the moment I started reading and listening to this piece 😭

Snaps for the way you wove in the layered meanings of left and right … ohhhh, so deep and powerful. And I cried at the last lines when your heart opened her eyes. I feel the emotions in this world the way you do, intensely, and sometimes have to remind myself to open my heart back up. This was so beautiful, and healing.

A Death that led to a Resurrection and all that means for mankind.

The loss of a sense that awakened you to the depths of sense within your heart.
