Weeping. What I said to myself on my darkest night mirrored this line of thinking. It helped me hang on... and years later, I was there when my child had her darkest night... and I am so thankful I was.

John, the way you describe the human experience in a few number of majestically placed words is unlike anything I have ever known. You are special. I am so glad you are here on this earth.

Your writing and reading were just beautiful. Thank you. We truly need to be there for each other when it’s darkest. My dad died by suicide when I was a child. I learned years later that people said they knew something was wrong but never expected him to take his life. We never know when someone needs a gentle kindness.
