when will we learn that 
fearing the future
is as big of a waste
of time as not letting
go of the past is

we can only control
what we do in this unfolding now

~the past is a dust devil 
    and we have to quit trying to catch it

~the future is a billowing horizon fog
      that we have no idea what lies behind it 

where this second we are both 
experiencing 

      is the apple orchard of everything
