It’s easy to get stuck in this sticky tangy taffy world.

There are so many cobwebs that can we run into that keep us from moving forward: shame, jealousy, grief, disappointment, betrayal, violence, and the list goes on and on…

We lose so much time on our adventures by feeling like we can’t move in any direction after we suffer a setback. I am the poster child of a person who lies prone on the ground for years after a failure. I keep turning the places I fall down into a barbed wire prison of self-doubt and embarrassment where I am my own unforgiving warden.

What I believe is: The places we fall down are actually holy ground if we let them be.

They are gardens where the first buds of our springtime can start to burst back up through the soil.

These spaces where we fail can be renovated into a chapel of reflection and healing if we can just change the way we look at them.
