Sonna, an angel-in-training, looked up from the glowing scroll she had been studying for the past century and raised her hand.
Her Earth 101 instructor, Flowertop, floated over to the Juniper Tree she was sitting under and crouched beside her.
“You have a question?” Flowertop asked her brightest student.
“Yes, I am reading something about Earth that has me very confused,” Sonna said, her eyes still fixed on the document she had been reviewing.
“Oh, really?” Flowertop said while placing her translucent hand on Sonna’s shoulder. “What did you find? Some of the Earth's customs can be befuddling. Or are you reading the section on food? Yes, they actually eat Cactus if that’s what you are asking. It’s really wonderfully strange.”
“No, it’s not about food,” Sonna replied softly.
