Our radio hearts
Under the noise of this world - there is a voice calling out to us - and that call is coming from inside the house of our rib cages - and it's all a miracle
“You give me permission to write terribly.”
While this may seem a bit counterintuitive, this statement is the best feedback I have ever received from anyone who has attended any of my writing retreats.
To be honest, I cannot believe that I am lucky enough to have had the opportunity to share my “Unafraid Storyteller” retreat a half-dozen times across the U.S. over the past year. It’s all so surreal to be able to share my story and my approach to writing with so many open hearts.
I don’t teach (if we want to call it that) anyone how to be a bestselling author or how to be able to pay off a Cabo timeshare through book sales. What I do during my retreat is share how discovering a way to write from my heart has saved my life - and how embracing the authentic story of our lives can reshape the way we look at our existence here on Earth.
I don’t want to be considered a great writer. I am not striving for perfection. I don’t want anything other than to keep showing up every day to the black page and find a way to give voice to the murmurations inside of me.
I believe our hearts are always talking to us. They are like ham radios.
